Tomorrow is World Malbec Day, with a range of Australian events and activities dedicated to celebrating the medium-bodied varietal wine from Argentina.
The inaugural World Malbec Day was held last year and due to its success, organiser Wines of Argentina WOA has decided to hold it again this year with the support of the Argentine Chancellery, which will be running events at more than 40 Argentine diplomatic representations around the world.
The Argentine Embassy in Australia will be hosting tasting sessions in Perth, Brisbane and Sydney, while local supplier, Wines of Chile and Argentina (WOCA) will be involved in different events in Sydney and Melbourne, presenting its premium range of Malbec from the San Felipe, Rutini Wines and Finca Flichman wineries.
One of these events is a free tasting session that will be held tomorrow at Sydney’s Oak Barrel, where the Finca Filchman Misterio Malbec and Rutini Estate Malbec will be served with matching food.
