With the sale of two of its pubs, Balmain Pub Group is set to reduce its venues by 50 per cent.

Last week, an industry source told TheShout that Balmain Pub Group had sold the Town Hall Hotel in Balmain, and Swanson Hotel in Erskineville. Nick Wills, CEO of Balmain Pub Group, was contacted for confirmation, and denied that the pubs had been sold.

Earlier this week, another source confirmed that the two pubs had indeed been sold, and that the sales were now official. TheShout has since reached out twice to Wills for further comment, and as yet has not had a response.

Balmain Pub Group purchased the Town Hall Hotel just over a year ago, and revamped the venue mid-2016. The sale of the Town Hall Hotel and Swanson Hotel leaves Balmain Pub Group with The Greenwood Hotel in North Sydney, and The Balmain.
