On Wednesday 20 July, Comiskey Group Director, Robert Comiskey, will break ground on the group’s $45 million dollar Eatons Hill Village development, which will incorporate the group’s award-winning pub, Eatons Hill Hotel.

Comiskey will be joined by local political leaders, Moreton Bay Mayor Allan Sutherland and Deputy Mayor Councillor Mike Charlton, for the groundbreaking ceremony in the north Brisbane suburb of Eatons Hill.

Eatons Hill Hotel is a bastion of the Queensland pub industry, confirmed last year when it was inducted into the QHA’s Hall of Fame, and has won Best Entertainment Venue at the awards ceremony for three years in a row.

The hotel is quite large with nine bars, a nightclub, bistro, gaming room, TAB facilities, bottle shop, function centre, and a ballroom for entertainment with a 2100 pax capacity. The hotel itself will not be changed during the development, which will occupy 2.5 hectares of land.

The development will bring inner-city living spaces to the area, along with 1200 m2 or retail space for up to 15 stores. It will also include a 3200 m2 Woolworths supermarket, a restaurant precinct, a gym with a pool and an 88-room, 4.5 star motel – perfect for anyone attending concerts at the hotel or festivals within the development.

After a long time in planning, Comiskey is excited to begin works on the complex.

“Eatons Hill Village has been five years in the making and we are excited to bring something different to the area,” says Comiskey.

The complex is expected to be complete around mid-2017.
