Entertainment venue group Entain Australia has agreed a deal to acquire the Full House Group (FHG) and its brands.

FHG possesses a range of brands in the entertainment venue space, including Australian Poker League (APL), Sportspick, GameOn, innQUIZitive, QuizzaMe and DJ Bingo.

These brands will be brought into the Entain Venues stable, with the group expressing its desire ‘to drive more frequent and regular foot traffic’ in a press statement.

GM of Entain Venues, Mark Sturdy, hailed the acquisition, and FHG’s strong track record in entertainment.

“Full House Group has more than 20 years’ experience working in venues,” he said.

“They have a presence in over 1,000 venues nationally, across their various market-leading in venue Poker, Trivia and Sports & Racing tipping products. Through Entain’s market leading digital expertise and innovative culture, we are excited about the opportunities to further enhance these products and build out the distribution across the market.

“We are extremely happy to be welcoming the team at Full House Group into the Entain family. Both businesses have very aligned values when it comes to partnering with venues to drive increased foot traffic and engagement.

Entain is an established player in the Australian gaming space through its digital products, but only entered venues towards the end of 2022. For Sturdy, this makes it all the more important that the company makes wise decisions in the venue market.

“Having just entered the venue market late last year, it’s important for Entain that we are creating real value for venues every day of the week and not just through key trading periods.

“Our ambition when we set out was to be Australia’s leading venue entertainment provider, and the acquisition of Full House Group provides a comprehensive venue entertainment brand portfolio, a large customer base and deep industry experience.”

Brayden Haynes, FHG CEO, also commented on the agreement.

“We are delighted to join the Entain family and have been very impressed with the vision of its senior management team which so closely aligns with the Full House Group objectives over the last 20 years.

“Our focus has always been to provide Australia’s hospitality industry with products and services that drive visitation, increase dwell time, and encourage on premise spend.

“We have unwavering belief that our brands will flourish under the Entain Venues banner, and this should be particularly exciting for our venue partners who will be the ultimate beneficiaries of this new partnership,” Haynes concluded.

  1. Hello,
It’s great to learn that the FHG ĥave merged with Entain. As a player I look forward to playing poker. I’m sure that you & other players would agree. However this year has seen two popular venues cease providing regular poker events, a third appears to do likewise. Can you kindly explain why Mordy, Doyles and possibly the Harp have done so ?
    Yours sincerely
    Vic Langsam
