Liquor & Gaming NSW has issued its latest gaming machine data update as part of the NSW Government’s commitment to boost transparency on gambling activity in local communities.

The report details over 1200 of the state’s most profitable hotels by both overall gaming machine profit and net profit per gaming machine. The number one hotel in NSW for both lists is the Markets Hotel in Homebush West.

In terms of clubs the 743 machines of Bankstown Sports Club give it the largest gaming machine net profit, although the largest profit per gaming machine is at Cabra-Vale Ex-Active Servicemen’s Club in Canley Vale.

The latest report shows the data for 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2020 for hotels and 1 June 2020 to 30 November 2020 for clubs.

According to the report the number of gaming machines in NSW fell by 2374, in comparison to the same periods in 2019.

While the overall number of machines fell, net profit increased by 10.93 per cent for hotels and 7.29 per cent for clubs and total net profit increased by 8.79 per cent. However the previous six-month net profit figures were significantly impacted by restrictions placed on gaming venues due to the COVID-19 Public Health Orders including the closure of gaming venues for 10 weeks from 23 March to 31 May.
