Several additional operators and industry figures have been added to the conference program for the Pub Leaders Summit in March.

Australian Hotelier is pleased to confirm the latest names to join the conference portion of the Pub Leaders Summit.

Brad Jenkins, group general manager of Lewisland Group (formerly Drinx Group), will be joining Jackie Booth of Zagame Corporation and Marty Secheny of Bidwill Hotel on the panel on ‘Optimising the Modern Gaming Offering’. Jenkins will also be joining Annette Verhoeff of Red Rock Leisure to discuss staff recruitment and training strategies in a later panel.

Three members of the Solotel team join the Pub Leaders Summit program, with COO Justine Baker discussing growing a group in a specific geographic locale; Marlborough Hotel licensee Amanda Verratti chatting about creating a pub identity; and group marketing director Dan Lacaze sharing his creative expertise on how to market your business and use data to your advantage.

Kenny Graham of Mary’s Group will join Verratti to discuss pub identity; while Katherine Raskob, director of communications and customer experience at Australia’s largest marketing association, the Association for Data-driven Marketing & Advertising (ADMA), will bring a wealth of knowledge to the data panel.

Another two industry experts join Mandy Collins of the Lady Daly and Ray Reilly of Reilly Group on the food panel: Ben Varela, group executive chef of Public House Management Group; and Danny Russo, director of chef consultancy business, Russolini.

Two solo presentations have also been added to the line-up. Wade Curtis, director and former head brewer of 4 Hearts Brewery in Ipswich, Queensland, will give a talk on Brewpub Economics – running down the numbers on capex and profit, the systems needed, and hi own learnings from opening a successful brewpub.

Mikey Enright, director of Barrelhouse Group, will take us through the process of opening his 18th Century, British-tavern inspired Duke of Clarence in the middle of Sydney’s CBD. He will discuss everything from the concept to sourcing building materials from the UK, to perfecting the venue’s unique offering.

More speakers for the conference will be announced over the next month. The Pub Leaders Summit will be held on Monday 19 March at Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney, in conjunction with platinum sponsor Intrust Super. The updated program can be viewed below.
