Nominations are now officially opened for the 2019 AHA NSW Awards for Excellence, with a range of new categories along with the traditional ones.

City/Country Hotel of the Year, Best Burger, Best Steak and Heart of the Community remain part of the awards, while new categories include Best Unique Bar Experience and Best Late Night Venue.

AHA NSW CEO John Whelan said competition was set to be fierce this year across more than 40 categories.

“NSW hotels really do set the standard, not only nation-wide but internationally, and that is shown every year at the Awards for Excellence,” he said.

“This year we see a range of new categories including Best Parmi, Apprentice/Trainee of the Year, Best Late Night Venue and Best Unique Bar Experience among others.

“I would encourage all hotels, right across NSW, to get their nominations in – and best of luck on the night.”

The Awards for Excellence will be held at The Star Event Centre, Tuesday, 19 November 2019. Last year’s awards saw more than 600 nominations received from hotels across NSW and a crowd of more than 1200 people including NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and then Opposition leader Michael Daley.

Nominations are open until 28 June 2019 and details on how you can nominate are on the AHA NSW Awards website.
