The keynote session for the Pub Leaders Summit has been announced, with high-performing teams and leadership expert Garie Dooley set to kick off the day’s packed program.

Dooley will deliver the keynote speech, titled ‘The Keys to Developing a High-Performance Culture’. Dooley is a keynote speaker, author, coach, and facilitator who has supported teams globally and within Australia, from corporate boardrooms to elite sports teams, including Swimming Australia.

Over the last 15 years, Dooley’s obsession with high-performance teams and leadership has helped teams move from what he terms “Fake to Phenomenal”, and leaders shift from “Salvagers to Legends”, leading to successful and respected businesses. Garie creates an environment with high levels of trust and absolute clarity of purpose, delivering sustainable success.

In the hospitality space, Garie has worked with Merivale, Kickon Group, Sydney Collective, Redcape and Colonial Leisure Group.

Craig Shearer, founder and director of Kickon Group, credits Dooley with a large amount of the growth and success of the business to their consultations with the corporate coach.

“Garie has been instrumental in helping us develop a vision, purpose, values, behaviours – and an ongoing commitment to living and breathing this.”

Additional sessions

Besides the packed full-day conference program, showcase and Coca-Cola Europacific Partner Networking Drinks, additional sessions will be held as part of the 2023 Pub Leaders Summit.

For the first time, the Pub Leaders Summit has added a half-day study tour to the program – to be held on Tuesday 25 July, the day after the main conference. See firsthand how the most forward-thinking and dynamic operators are running their venues while you network with your peers.

Study tour site visits will include:

Brook Hotel, Mitchelton
ALH Hotels have just completed a $31m renovation on the Brook Hotel – the group’s single largest investment on a Queensland pub. Walk through the brand new, completely overhauled pub with senior ALH Hotels management.

A third site visit and lunch destination are still to be announced. Additional registration to the study tour is required, with limited tickets available.

The Pub Leaders Summit will be held 24-25 July, 2023, at Eatons Hill Hotel & Accommodation in Brisbane. Find more information and get your tickets here.
