Royal Hotels opened their newest hotel one month ago, Gregory Hills Hotel, in one of the fastest growing areas in the country, Sydney’s south-west.

The ‘Grego’ as it has already been affectionately dubbed, joins the hotel stable of the Malouf brothers, which includes the Royal Oak Hotel Double Bay. The hotel was constructed on a large block of land in the relatively new suburb of Gregory Hills, which was assigned in 2008 and is expected to house 5000 homes within another five years.

With the help of Bergstrom Architects, Paul Kelly Design and New England Constructions, the pub was opened in mid-July, to an outstanding reception from the local community. Licensee John Payne spoke to Australian Hotelier about how the hotel is faring, a month into trade.
