Australian wine lovers and trade have the opportunity to sample winning wines from the 2025 Halliday Wine Companion Awards as the Coravin World Wine Tour visits three venues renowned for their selection of fine wines.

Throughout September, the Coravin World Wine Tour, a joint venture by Coravin and Halliday Wine Companion, will grace Fix Wine Bar & Restaurant in Sydney, 2KW Bar & Restaurant in Adelaide and Archive Wine Bar in Geelong.

Coravin Founder Greg Lambrecht says the month-long tour is a great chance for buyers, retailers, and sommeliers to get up close with some of Australia’s top wines.

“We’ve curated a list of the country’s best based on the category winners from the Halliday Wine Companion Awards 2025. The experience is a really hands-on way for trade professionals to taste, compare, and see what’s driving the industry right now.

“The list includes the country’s top wines as awarded by Halliday, one of the most trusted voices in Australian wine. Buyers can come down and see how these wines would fare on shelves or in their venues.”

Highlighting Australia’s finest wines, the winners of the prestigious Halliday awards were announced in August and are now available to sample at the three venues.

The selection includes Oakridge 864 Drive Block Funder & Diamond Chardonnay 2022, awarded Wine of the Year, and some of the country’s finest sparkling, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Grenache, available in either full-sized glasses or sample-sized tasting pours.

“This partnership lets us showcase a snapshot of Australia’s vibrant wine landscape, spotlighting the world-class producers who are shaping the industry today,” added Lambrecht.

Coravin’s World Wine Tour is not only an opportunity to experience award-winning Australian wines – trade professionals can also see the Coravin device in action and understand how it can work for a venue.

Lambrecht commented: “Coravin is a game-changing tool for venues. Our wine preservation system allows venues to dramatically expand their by-the-glass offering, preserving wines for weeks, months, and even years after the first pour.

“This, in turn, gives patrons more flexibility when it comes to wine pairings, allowing them to experiment with different wine styles, regions, and producers without committing to buying a full bottle.

“The device also empowers sommeliers to offer tailored recommendations, ensuring each guest gets a personalised experience rather than compromising on a single bottle for the table.”

Over the course of the month, the Coravin World Wine Tour will also visit the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy and the Netherlands, with 25 venues taking part globally.
