Bacardi Limited has just upped the ante in the promotion for responsible drinking and driving by offering two Australians the chance to race with seven-time Formula One racing world champion Michael Schumacher at the Ascari race circuit in Spain.
By simply answering four questions about ways to drink and drive safely, the two winning Australians will join 26 other winners from across the world, who will each be strapped into the passenger seat alongside Schumacher, and driven around the Spanish race track.
The promotion is part of Bacardi Limited’s global ‘Champions Drink Responsibly’ campaign, led by Michael Schumacher. It aims to highlight the risks involved in drinking and driving and to make drivers aware of alternative options, such as using public transport or drinking non-alcoholic cocktails.
Schumacher said in a statement he is looking forward to the experience. “I have been involved in many road safety programs in my career and I feel very strongly about this initiative. Bacardi is to be commended on its commitment to bringing this campaign to a global audience,” he said.
The prize also includes flights and accommodation and entries are open until 1 April 2009.
