Globally renowned brands BACARDÍ rum and Coca-Cola have joined forces to bring you the classic mix in a can.

BACARDÍ Rum mixed with Coca-Cola will be soon on shelves, and the Australian market will also be the first to taste BACARDÍ Spiced Rum mixed with Coca-Cola, both in a ready-to-drink (RTD) format from September.

This collaboration delivers the light, smooth taste of Barcardí rum and the refreshing taste of Coca-Cola, pre-mixed for convenience and consistent quality.

Our collaboration with Barcardí, synonymous with great taste and good times, allows us to do just that in a truly exciting new way,” commented Matthias Blume, Vice President ARTD, Coca-Cola Australia.

The two brands are long-established, household names with intertwined histories. Barcardí rum was first created in Santiago de Cuba in 1862, while Coca-Cola debuted in 1886 in Atlanta. In 1900, the two brands came together for the first time at the American Bar in Havana.

One hundred and twenty-five years after that landmark occasion, the combination of the world’s most-awarded rum with the world’s most popular mixer remains among the top bar calls globally.

“The love for Barcardí and Coca-Cola is as strong today as it’s ever been,” says Luiz Schmidt, Managing Director, Bacardi-Martini Australia.

“It’s a powerful pairing. Together we create more than just a drink, we create an experience that people around the world have enjoyed for generations – and now they can have that same experience with the quality and convenience of an RTD.”

The launch marks the first time the Coca-Cola brand will be available in an alcoholic RTD in Australia.

“Until now, no other alcoholic RTD has been mixed with Coca-Cola so this marks a significant milestone not just for the brand, but for Australians who have long enjoyed Coca-Cola as their favourite mixer. This launch is the start of an exciting new chapter and we so thrilled to bring this to market,” stated Blume.

The launch of the new RTD comes not long after the announcement that Bacardi-Martini Australia and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) had struck a new distribution deal, with the aim of significantly expanding the reach of its Bacardi-Martini Australia’s premium spirits and RTD portfolio in the local market.

BACARDÍ Rum mixed with Coca-Cola and BACARDÍ Spiced Rum mixed with Coca-Cola will be available in 330ml cans (4.8% ABV) in all leading bottle shops and selected licensed venues nationally from September 2025.
