The Independent Brewers Association (IBA) has announced that its annual brewing and trade conference, BrewCon, is open for exhibitor applications.
Described as the Australian brewing industry’s ‘keystone event’, BrewCon is a trade exhibition and educational event, with a full conference program due to be announced soon.
Would-be exhibitors have until 1 February to get their applications in, with the IBA opening the application earlier than normal in anticipation of ‘significant demand’.
This will be the first BrewCon since the COVID-19 Pandemic began, and it’s for this reason that IBA CEO Kylie Lethbridge is expecting the event to attract increased interest.
“Given the three-year hiatus and feedback from our members, we expect to be packed to the rafters as everyone takes advantage of the opportunity to learn, network over a quality indie beer or two and be wooed by some seriously good speakers and exhibitors,” Lethbridge stated.
Also due to bolster attendance is the opening up of the expo to all companies involved in the independent beer business, not just those who are members of the IBA.
The 9th annual BrewCon will take place between Monday 21 August and Wednesday 23 August at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre in Queensland. The IBA’s Indies Awards will be held during the conference, and sponsorship package details are set to be revealed in February.
