Brown Brothers Moscato & Sauvignon Blanc is the latest addition to the winery's Moscato portfolio, made with a blend of 70 per cent Moscato fruit and 30 per cent Sauvignon Blanc.
Brown Brothers said the addition of Sauvignon Blanc combines the traditional musk and sherbet flavours of Moscato with the tropical fruit notes of Sauvignon Blanc.
Brown Brothers has been producing Moscato from the grape variety Muscat of Alexandria since 1996, and already includes a Moscato Rosa, Sparkling Moscato, and Sparkling Moscato Rosa in its range.
”We saw this as a great opportunity to continue to lead the fruity wine category, and with the twist of premium Sauvignon Blanc from Tasmania, we believe it will increase the appeal of Moscato to new consumers of this category,” said brand manager, Katherine Brown.
In 2010, Brown Brothers purchased vineyards in Tasmania, which is where the winery has sourced the Sauvignon Blanc fruit from.
Brown Brothers Moscato & Sauvignon Blanc is available nationally with an RRP of $16.50.
