The Bundaberg Distilling Company has today released its award-winning Golden Reserve variant, the third instalment in the Bundaberg Rum brand's Master Distillers' Collection.
The new release follows the Bundaberg Master Distillers' Collection Ten Year Old and the Bundaberg Master Distillers' Collection Port Barrel.
To create the latest expression, five rums of up to 11 years old were handpicked by the Bundaberg Master Distillers' Collective based on their unique and diverse flavour profiles. These special reserves have been blended and finished in old sherry and port barrels, where the rich fruit characters of the oak add a unique dimension. The result is a rich, golden coloured rum that balances distinctive new flavours with the hallmark Bundaberg Rum character.
To support the release of Golden Reserve, Bundaberg Rum's planning marketing activity includes extensive PR and advertising activation, a distillery launch on the 11th of March, in-store visibility, online fan interaction via Facebook and the Bundaberg Rum website, as well as a special release gift box for the first 1000 bottles sold at the distillery.
"The third release from the Bundaberg Rum Master Distillers' Collection is timely as the trend of 'premiumisation' continues to fuel rum category growth," said Andrew Oughton, Diageo Australia marketing manager – rum.
"This premium rum represents our continual dedication to quality that we hope will not only excite Bundaberg Rum fans but also our customers, who stand to benefit from the trade-up opportunity the Master Distillers' Collection represents," he said.
Bundaberg Master Distillers' Golden Reserve is available in 700ml bottles for RRP $89.99 (ABV 40 per cent), and will be accessible to the trade from today.
