Deeds Brewing will officially close the doors of its east Melbourne taproom and kitchen for the final time this Saturday, 22 March.

Patrick Alé, Founder of Deeds Brewing said the team at Deeds are incredibly grateful for the support shown by the community for the venue since its opening in 2021.

The closing weekend kicks off today from 4pm at the Glen Iris taproom with a final seated dining experience where all mains will be $25 and all entrees $15.

It’s set to be a night the community will not want to miss with the final chance to try the venue’s popular REI Pop Up Kitchen.

One final day of celebration will kick off from 12pm till late on Saturday, with Deeds serving their highest-rated beers on tap, $25 takeaway burgers and chips along with great prices on takeaway beers for their loyal supporters.

Alé said fans will still be able to enjoy Deeds after the taproom doors close with beers continuing to be sold online and in bars and bottle shops across Australia while stock runs down.

This announcement follows a difficult 2024 for Deeds Brewing.

In May last year, Deeds entered voluntary administration struggling gain prospective buyers or investors.

As a result, both the brewery and taproom were closed, 12 years after the brewery first launched.

But despite the previous announcement, Alé told Beer & Brewer in September that the Deeds Taproom would be back in business for a short time, giving locals the summer to enjoy both the beer and venue until at least February 2025.

He said that the decision to reopen helped the brewery to close on its own terms.

Alé also passed along gratitude to the Deeds brewing community.

“We couldn’t be more thankful to the fan base we have. Our fans have been amazing through this whole process and continue to support us,” said Alé.
