Diageo has announced that UDL, Australia's first ready-to-drink brand, will be available in two litre multi-serve boxes this summer.
The boxes will come in two flavours: Classic Lemonade – a traditional, old-fashioned lemonade with vodka; and Tropical Punch – a mix of vodka and tropical fruit flavours.
Both UDL variants are non-carbonated, made with no artificial flavours and are ready to pour over ice.
Diageo says the ready-to-serve category has become highly profitable since it launched Smirnoff Signature Serves onto the market in August 2010.
"The category has grown in considerable value since launch and is now worth over $90 million dollars with a growth forecast of a further 33 per cent year on year," the company says.
Diageo innovation director Jonathan Curnow said UDL is already the third best selling white spirit ready-to-drink product in Australia with a value share of 18.2 per cent.
"The new UDL products will be a win for retailers who can maximise sales with a trusted brand and a popular format," he said.
UDL Classic Lemonade and Tropical Punch with vodka are available in two litre ready-to- serve boxes for RRP $24.99 (ABV 5%), and are available nationally to trade.
