Australian bartenders are invited to enter the local leg of the Ron Diplomático World Tournament, for a chance to head to Venezuela to compete for the title of Diplomático Global Bartender.
To enter the competition, bartenders are required to visit the Baranows Emporium website (Australian distributor of Ron Diplomatico) before February 18 and submit a video or photo presentation of a signature cocktail.
The cocktail must be made using no more than six ingredients, including at least 30ml of a Ron Diplomático product. The top 20 entries will be selected, and bartenders will be required to promote their cocktail entry in their venue for a month.
These bartenders will also have to present their cocktail to a panel of judges that will visit their venue, and from there the top six will be chosen for the Australian finals that will be held at Melbourne’s Madame Brussels bar on April 1st.
The winner will then head to Venezuela for a week to battle against a dozen bartenders from across the globe for the Diplomático Global Bartender title.
As part of the trip to Venezuela the winner will get to meet Ron Diplomático’s master blender, Tito Cordero, partake in a special masterclass at the distillery and will also get to spend a weekend relaxing on some Caribbean beaches.
