Drambuie, the iconic Scotch whisky liqueur, has announced an official relaunch of the brand, focusing on the classic cocktail the Rusty Nail.

The Rusty Nail is a timeless whisky cocktail born in the infamous New York nightclubs of the early 60s and served at the renowned 21 Club frequented by Ernest Hemingway, Marilyn Monroe, and Frank Sinatra. The legendary Rat Pack scene adopted the cocktail, confirming the drink's iconic status and establishing its place in pop culture history.

More recently, the cocktail was the drink of choice of television character Saul Goodman – originally from Breaking Bad – and featured in the very first episode of Netflix’s TV series Better Call Saul.

The relaunch includes a three month-long activation event, ‘A Night with the Nail’, hosted each Thursday at The Swinging Cat, in Sydney’s CBD.

Launched this week, the weekly event will see a Drambuie-themed evening aimed at promoting the revival of the liqueur’s most famous serve: The Rusty Nail. Bar goers will also be treated to a range of new cocktails featuring Drambuie, alongside live jazz music to match the New Orleans-inspired atmosphere of The Swinging Cat.
