The vibrant Victorian drinks industry will be on full display next month, as over 250 of the state’s drinks producers converge at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on 1 May.
As part of the Melbourne Food and Drinks Festival, Drink Victoria is an avenue to showcase the quality and diversity of the Victorian drinks industry. The free event is exclusive to Victorian hospitality industry professionals, allowing them to experience new drinks and see familiar producers in a new light. There will also be exclusive wholesale offers for orders placed in May 2023.
“We’ve talked to a lot of people in the trade about how to get more Victorian drinks into venues, and when staffing is so tight, the feedback to us has been ‘if you can bring the state’s best producers across, wine, beer, cider and spirits together in one room, so we can see them all in one place, that’s going to make life a lot easier for us and we’ll be there’,” said Pat Nouse, creative director of Food + Drink Victoria.
At the event, 250 producers will present their products, with drinks spanning the categories of wine, spirits, beer, cider, and low and no alcohol beverages. Snacks will be provided by Lee Ho Fook and 400 Gradi. The tasting is supported by the Victorian government, Victorian Drinks Alliance, Food + Drink Victoria, Cider Australia, Independent Brewers Association, Spirits Victoria and Wine Victoria.
“This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to get up to speed with the latest from Victorian producers old and new, and everything in between,” Nouse concluded.
Tickets to can be booked through the Drink Victorian industry hub.
