After almost five years in Sydney’s Erskineville community, Hive Bar has unveiled an expansive new drinks offer with an increased focus on craft beer that will see the venue host its first tap takeover this week.
The Hive Bar now offers more than 100 different spirits, an ever-growing assortment of Australian-made products and an extensive craft beer selection.
New operations manager and beer aficionado Adam Parker is one of the driving forces behind the initiatives and has organised the upcoming Riverside Brewing Company tap takeover, to be held Thursday March 6.
"People are looking for more quality over quantity these days. With that in mind, and with the Hive Bar's 'locally grown' philosophy, we have the perfect setting for great craft beer," Parker said.
"The guys at Riverside have offered a fantastic selection of beer, which we are proud to showcase."
The tap takeover will include Riverside's 77 IPA, 69 Summer Ale, 55 Pale Ale, 33 Golden Ale and limited release 777 double IPA.
The kitchen will have dishes available to match the varying beer styles and local DJs will be playing vinyl all night.
"We anticipate the night will be a destination for craft beer lovers of Sydney and the inner west, and a taste of things to come for us here at The Hive Bar," Parker said.
