After COVID-related postponements, the four-day Fever-Tree Gin and Tonic Festival will take place at Howard Smith Wharves from April 28.
Brisbane is the second stop on Fever-Tree’s national tour, following 2021’s Sydney showcase, with the festival taking place at the Howard Smith Wharves, found beneath Brisbane’s landmark Story Bridge.
Trish Brew, Fever-Tree Australia’s Brand Ambassador, expressed her delight finally making it to the Sunshine State.
“We’ve been so excited to bring the Fever-Tree G&T Festival to the gin and tonic lovers of Brisbane,” Brew commented.
The tonic water company has partnered with 20 different local and international distillers to showcase their gins, including the likes of: Archie Rose Distilling Co., Four Pillars and Never Never Distilling Co. Home-state producers will also be taking pride of place, with Queensland’s Wolf Lane Distillery, Kalki Moon Distilling & Brewing Company and Sunshine & Sons all making an appearance.
“Aussie gin is really shaking up the category and wining big at international spirits competiitons,” Brew said.
“Just last month several distillers who will be joining us at our festival took home top gongs at The World Gin Awards Icons of Gin Awards.”
“The much-loved Four Pillars won Distiller of the Year and Brand Innovator of the Year, and Never Never Distilling Co.’s distiller Tim Boast was awarded Master Distiller of the Year. Phillip Moore from Distillery Botanica (Moore’s Dry Gin) on the Central Coast of NSW was also inducted to the Gin Magazine Hall of Fame,” Brew explained.
Each day is split into three hour ‘immersive sessions’, with tickets including six complimentary mini G&Ts. Alongside the 20 distilleries on offer, there will be live music, restaurant pop-ups, and workshops and ‘Discovery Talks’.
Workshop topics will include: how to pair the right gin to your tonic, cheese pairings, how to create the perfect G&T ice cream float, and new ways to elevate your G&T.
“There’s an Australian gin to suit every taste and occasion.”
“Our festival experience is all about helping you to discover exciting combinations with our range of premium mixers, and there’s plenty of fun to be hand along the way,” Brew concluded.
