The recently departed CEO of Carlton & United Breweries (CUB), Peter Filipovic has been announced as director of the beer services firm.
The move caps a busy couple of months for Filipovic. He joined HTL Capital in May this year before heading up the independent pub group involved in the purchase of the Commercial Hotel in Ipswich.
His new role at Cellar Value Solutions (CVS) comes after a 25-year career at CUB, where prior to serving as CEO, Filipovic worked as president of the beer company’s business unit.
As a hotel-owner and self-confessed beer drinker, Filipovic said he was excited to get to work at CVS, a firm specialising in beer line cleaning processes and boosting the quality of beer service.
“How could I not be excited about aligning myself with a group that reduces cost for my business at the same time increasing the quality of beer to consumers,” Filipovic said.
“Cellar Value Solutions serves to increase beer quality to consumers at a significantly reduced cost to publicans.”
On the appointment of Filipovic, CVS Chairman Bill Wawn said: “Peter’s achievements are well known throughout the industry and we share the same values of maximising customer savings while optimising product quality.”
“We look forward to working with him to enhance the group’s growth,” he added.
Filipovic also works as a board member of Rule PC, which raises awareness and funds for the treatment of prostate cancer. HTML Capital Victoria assists the hospitality industry in raising debt capital.
