Four Pillars has celebrated its 10-year anniversary, commemorating the milestone birthday with a limited-edition release of its Rare Dry Gin. Marking a decade of innovation in crafting premium Australian gin, the exclusive bottle design honours the original launched in 2013.
Crafted with a blend of botanicals including Australian ingredients such as lemon myrtle, Tasmanian pepperberry and oranges, the recipe has remained unchanged and gathered a long list of awards in its 10 years.
Cameron Mackenzie, Four Pillars Co-Founder and Distiller, says the gin has become the cornerstone of the Four Pillars collection.
“I would never have imagined our small gin brand that three mates decided to bring into the world, would be able to achieve so much. Since the beginning we have set out to make gin that was truly reflective of Australia. We all loved London dry gin, but wondered why we were drinking it when we have some of the world’s best botanicals right here at our doorstep.
“Ten years on and we still have the same beating heart and passion for what we do, a whole lot of the same people and the same recipe for our Rare Dry Gin, the first baby of Four Pillars, and one that has stood the test of time.”
Continuing the celebration of the legendary spirit, the Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin was also awarded The Whisky Exchange’s Gin of the Year 2024, becoming the first Australian winner of the award.
Regarded as one of the most prestigious spirit sellers in the UK, The Whisky Exchange announced Four Pillars as the winner, as determined by a panel of industry experts, at a press conference held on Thursday 30 November.
