It’s the fifth time the distillery has made the IWSC shortlist, with Four Pillars taking out the gong in 2019, 2020 and 2023. The nomination comes after Four Pillars Barrel Aged Bloody Underhill Shiraz Gin was awarded 99 points at the competition earlier this year.

Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin, Bloody Shiraz Gin, Olive Leaf Gin, Spiced Negroni Gin and Whiskey Barrel Gin were all awarded Silver Medals.

Also shortlisted alongside Four Pillars were Alembic Distillery from Japan, ELG Spirits from Denmark, Poetica Distillery from Croatia and long-time mates of Four Pillars, Herno Gin, based in Sweden. This makes Four Pillars Gin the only Australian distillery listed for this impressive accolade.

Co-founder and Head Distiller, Cameron Mackenzie, said: “To be in the top handful of gin distilleries in the world is a great testament to the quality and style of our gins. You also can’t deny that to be shortlisted five times just shows the passion of our team to make the best gins we can year after year.”

IWSC Spirit Judging Committee Member, Oliver Ward, said: “Our judges spent three days tasting gins from different parts of the world with 760 medals awarded including more than 50 golds.”

The final announcement will be made at the IWSC Awards Ceremony in London on 12 November.
