Independent Liquor Group’s (ILG) annual study tour kicked off on Wednesday in Kentucky, taking in part of the Bourbon Trail with visits to the Wild Turkey, Buffalo Trace and Jim Beam distilleries.
While delegates flying from Sydney arrived a day late due to a grounded A380, ILG shuffled around the itinerary so that the group didn’t miss out on visits to the Slugger Museum and Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby.
Around 150 co-op members, brand managers and ILG staff have made the journey over to the US for the tour, which will continue in New York over the weekend and into next week.
