Entries for Bombay Sapphire’s new cocktail competition, Stir Creativity, are now open, with $3000 plus a trip to London to visit the Bombay Sapphire distillery up for grabs.
The competition aims to encourage creativity and education, with bartenders challenged to take inspiration from around the world and make a cocktail which highlights one of the gins from the Bombay Sapphire range.
Additionally the brand has just announced a series of education sessions to be held in a number of cities across Australia, as well as a virtual session for those not able to get to an in-person one.
The sessions will be held at:
- Melbourne – Union Electric, 2.30pm Monday 16 January
- Brisbane – The Gresham, 1pm Wednesday 18 January
- Adelaide – Hains & Co, 2pm Tuesday 24 January
- Virtual Session – 4pm Monday 30 January CLICK HERE TO RSVP
- Sydney – Smoke, 1pm Tuesday 31 January
To attend one of the sessions, simply email Bombay Sapphire Brand Ambassador, Corina Retter at cretter@bacardi.com
Speaking about the competition, Retter said: “The creative talent of Australian bartenders continually blows me away so I can’t wait for hospitality professionals across the country to be inspired by the world around them and craft a cocktail for the Bombay Sapphire Stir Creativity Cocktail Competition based on that inspiration. I’m so excited to see what they deliver.”
Entries open today, Monday 16 January and close 11.59pm AEST on Wednesday 22 February and are to be submitted via the entry website: https://stircreativitycomp.bombaysapphire.com.
National finalists will be announced in late February and Retter will then embark on a judging tour. Following the in-venue tasting the four national finalists will be announced in early March and will then prepare for the upcoming national final.
