The fastest growing gin in the category is available in Australia for the first time with Greenall's Gin launching on Monday.
Currently the number two standard gin in the UK, the Greenall's brand was something of a sleeping giant until it was taken over by owners, Quintessential Brands. According to Asia Pacific regional director Jon Band, the company is excited to expand their award-winning gin in the Asia Pacific region, with Australia the first stop.
"Greenall's has been consistently recognised as one of the best gins in its category and has won many awards," he says. "Greenall's has an unparalleled heritage in the craft of gin, and now we're delighted to offer the brand to gin lovers in Australia.
Exclusively available through Dan Murphy's, the gin was launched in at new Sydney gin palace, The Powder Keg. Bar owner and internationally renowned mixologist Grant Collins partnered with the brand to create a range of bespoke Greenall's cocktails, all with a nod to the brand's English heritage. The cocktails are all available in The Powder Keg for a limited time and all feature a twist on the developing trend of mixing gin and tea.
Collins created three Greenall's cocktails that feature his signature flair, including the English Mar-tea-ni (featuring Twinings English breakfast tea) and the Best of British Sour (with Twinings Earl Grey Tea and mandarin syrup).
"The opportunity to work with Greenall's on the Australian launch gave me the chance to combine my two favourite things – great gin and creative cocktail making," he said.
The only gin company in the world to feature a female master distiller, Joanne Moore, Greenall's has been created in England's oldest distillery since 1761 and still uses the same recipe created by the original distiller Thomas Dakin.
Great news! But this is definitely not the only gin company in the world to feature a female master distiller…
