Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey has released a limited-edition whiskey in Australia in celebration of its partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 team.
The first in a highly collectible series of exclusive releases, the McLaren Racing bottle features unique packaging and a custom label which celebrates the partnership and pioneering founders of each brand. With only 2,000 cases available in Australia, whiskey experts predict a significant increase in value for the collector’s item in years to come.
Each bottle of McLaren x Jack Daniel’s Sour Mash Whiskey will include Jack Daniel’s classic Tennessee Whiskey grain bill of 80 per cent corn, 12 per cent malted barley and eight per cent rye, bottled at 80 proof (40 per cent ABV).
“Our partnership with the McLaren Vale Formula 1 team is one we’re truly proud of with our shared foundation of celebrating team sport and drinking responsibly. This limited-edition bottle will give Jack Daniel’s and McLaren fans another reason to celebrate, with the opportunity for them to own a piece of brand history in a bottle.”
Recognised as the most valuable spirits brand in the world, Jack Daniel’s entered a multi-year partnership with McLaren Racing as the Official Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team in 2023. Entering Formula 1 for the first time, Jack Daniel’s will evolve its global presence and reach new customers.
Oliver Maruda, Co-Founder of Australia’s largest online whisky retailer The Whisky List commented on the collaboration: “Despite our small population, Australia is the third largest export market for US Whiskey. There has always been serious demand for brands like Jack Daniel’s here, especially with limited edition expressions having completely sold out.”
“This unique collaboration between Jack Daniel’s and McLaren gives whiskey and F1 fans a great opportunity to pick up a bottle to drink now and another to collect for the future. Given this bottle is a limited-edition offering, it’s highly likely that it will rise in value in the years to come.”
The 700ml limited-edition bottle is available now until stock lasts from Dan Murphy’s Liquorland, First Choice, Boozebud and other independent retailers at an RRP of AUD $80. To celebrate the launch, Jack Daniel’s will also be giving away seven limited-edition bottles via its Instagram and Facebook channels.
