Jose Cuervo has released two limited edition bottle of its Especial and Tradicional Silver Tequila.
The Jose Cuervo Rolling Stones Tour Pick bottles have been designed to celebrate the untold story of the role Jose Cuervo played in The Rolling Stones’ tour of North America in 1972, which was dubbed the ‘Tequila Sunrise Tour’.
The story goes that on the eve of the tour a bartender at The Trident bar in San Francisco handed the band its first-ever Tequila Sunrise cocktail, which he had made using Jose Cuervo.
The drink instantly became a hit and the cocktail of choice as the band performed 48 shows across 32 cities in the United States as part of their infamous tour. To celebrate the tour that became legend and the drink that inspired it, Jose Cuervo has released the two The Rolling Stones Tour Pick special edition bottles.
The Special Edition Rolling Stones Jose Cuervo Especial Silver uses the blue agave recipe tequila, which is bottled at 40 per cent ABV and has a $48.99 RRP.
The second bottle in the collection is the Special Edition Rolling Stones Jose Curevo Tradicional Silver which is 100 per cent blue agave tequila, again at 40 per cent ABV and with a $59 RRP.
The special edition bottles are distributed in Australia by island2island and both are available now.
