The State Government, in partnership with Primary Producers SA, is hosting a special community event screening of the Australian film Just a Farmer to raise mental health awareness and funds to support mental health and wellbeing in rural communities.

This powerful film offers a raw and moving insight into the resilience, sacrifices and struggles of farmers – the backbone of our nation’s food security. It shines a light on the realities of farming life, tackling themes of mental health, community support and the deep connection between people and the land.

Before screening Just a Farmer, writer and executive producer Leila McDougall will be joined by special guests for a thought-provoking panel discussion on mental health in farming communities.

Proceeds from this event will support the Rural Business Support Relief Fund, helping fund mental health and wellbeing programs for rural families facing tough times.
