Kahlúa has launched its newest flavour, Kahlúa Mocha, which was released through selected independent retailers on July 1.
Kahlúa Mocha joins the existing Kahlúa range of French Vanilla, Hazelnut and Original.
The brand extension was launched in-store with a neck-tag inviting consumers to ‘explore their curiosity’ by mixing their own Kahlúa Mocha cocktails.
Kahlúa Brand Manager Miriam Shoolman said the new Mocha flavour was developed following extensive local research into consumer trends.
Pernod Ricard Australia’s in-house mixologist, Ben Davidson, has developed two new cocktails that showcase the coffee and chocolate notes of Kahlúa Mocha – the Kahlúa Mocha Orange and Kahlúa Mocha Mojito.
Kahlúa Mocha was officially introduced to consumers at the Good Food and Wine Show in Sydney on July 3- 5, but the coffee and chocolate combination was actually “premiered” at the Sydney Opera House in early May.
“It is fantastic to be involved with the Good Food and Wine Show again this year after such a successful show for us in 2008,” Shoolman said. “We think it is the perfect place to launch Kahlúa Mocha to consumers.”
Australia is now Kahlúa’s third largest market in the world, behind the United States and Canada.
