A Kiwi bartender has won the first Bols Gods of Flair flair Bartending competition held on Wednesday night (Jul 29).

24-year old Robbie Stowe, who works for Sydney-based flair bartending company Twisted Liquid, outperformed eight other finalists to take home the title of ‘Bols God of Flair’.

He has also won an all-expenses paid trip to Amsterdam, including a ‘VIP Bartending Experience’ at the Bols Academy.

“I can’t believe it,” said Stowe. “This was such an amazing comp and it has been such an honour to compete alongside all these other talented guys.”

Held at The Thredbo Alpine Hotel in Thredbo, NSW, the finalists were driven down aboard the Jim Beam bus on Sunday (Jul 26), where they spent three days snowboarding and practising for the packed-out final.

Judges Michael Dackiw, Jason Crawley and Dylan Howarth all said that they were “blown away” with the standard and camaraderie of the competitors.

“This has been a truly memorable experience for all involved,” said Dackiw.
