Applications for the prestigious Len Evans Tutorial open on Monday, May 3, with the 10th annual tutorial slated to take place in the first week of November.

The program attracts applications from some of Australia’s leading wine professionals, including winemakers, retailers, sommeliers and journalists, who are looking to develop their wine appreciation skills during a week-long course tutored by the country’s most respected wine experts.

The tutorial program is designed to replicate the demands of wine show judging and also aims to define wine quality by exposing the 12 participants to some of the greatest wines in the world. The panel of tutors features James Halliday, Ian McKenzie, Iain Riggs, Gary Steel and Brian Croser, who will take the participants through each step of the course, which is held at Tower Lodge in the Hunter Valley.

Each scholarship is valued at $9000, which includes wine, food and accommodation. Interested applicants should send their resume with a detailed letter outlining their reasons for wanting to participate in the Len Evans Tutorial to info@lenevanstutorial.com.au. Applications close on Friday, 6 August.
