Coconut rum brand Malibu has launched two-litre cask mixers as the latest offering in the rapidly expanding ready to pour category.
The casks have an RRP of $26.99 and come in two flavours, Malibu with Peach & Mango Ice Tea, and Malibu with Apple & Guava.
Malibu brand manager Carl Gee told TheShout that Pernod Ricard Australia was pleased with the uptake in sales of the new products to date.
He said the iced tea flavour had proved particularly popular, complementing the Malibu flavour 'exceptionally well', and acting as a point of difference from the many sweeter juice-based products on the market.
"We went to the market with something completely new and different," he said.
The casks follow the recent launch of the ready to serve Malibu Cocktails range, which has since been withdrawn from trade.
