In a commitment to supporting women in sport, Marvan Hotel Group has entered into a partnership with the Newcastle Knights NRL Women’s Team.
As part of the new sponsorship, Australian owned hotel operator Marvan will have its local flagship, Cooks Hill’s Hotel Delany, featured on the Knights home and away jerseys and training kit for the season ahead.
With a multitude of home and away games in Sydney and Canberra, the partnership will give exposure to the popular Newcastle venue, The Hotel Delany. Built in 1924, the long-standing neighbourhood bistro is set to unveil renovations in time for its upcoming centenary.
The community partnership will allow Marvan to build on the reputation of the venue as a proud supporter of the Newcastle Knights, explained Marvan Hotel Group General Manager Stephen Harband.
“We are excited and proud to announce our partnership with the Newcastle Knights NRL Women’s Team, a team that is leading the charge for Women in Sport and helping Newcastle grow.”
“As a local venue with strong patron support for the NRL and Newcastle Knights, we are delighted to support such an honest, hardworking, ambitious, and talented group of individuals. We see this as an opportunity to give back to our patrons and Newcastle as a whole, for your support over the past few years.”
“With the Knights NRLW team stronger than ever, this partnership excites us and allows us to build stronger relationships with our patrons, staff, and the wider community.”
Philip Gardner, Wests Group Australia and nib Newcastle Knights Chief Executive Officer, spoke of Marvan’s commitment to supporting women in sport.
“The Newcastle Knights are incredibly pleased to welcome Marvan Hotel Group as the proud sponsor of our NRLW team. This partnership aligns with our vision to promote gender equality and provide opportunities for women in sport.”
“We are grateful for Marvan Hotel Group’s commitment to supporting our players through mentoring and training, and we look forward to a successful season ahead.”
