One of Australia's largest business to business publishing and events companies – The Intermedia Group – has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic sales manager to work on their liquor and hospitality titles.
The Role
As the Media Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling advertising and sponsorship to the beer and spirit industry across print, digital and a premium drinks exhibition.
You will play a fundamental role in maximising the commercial potential of these products, by developing new business and managing existing clients. This is a hands-on selling role requiring keen sales skills.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sales and preferably but not essentially have experience working in the hospitality industry. Experience dealing with liquor companies would be an advantage.
Some travel will be required, along with attending industry functions after hours.
The Person
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic sales professional who wants to immerse themselves in the liquor and hospitality industry.
You must be a self starter who is capable of executing your job with autonomy, and who is motivated by the opportunity to create a successful career in the media industry.
You will need to be able to pitch and present ideas in sales meetings and follow up with written proposals.
In return for your efforts, you will be compensated with a competitive base salary plus superannuation, and access to an uncapped commission incentive scheme.
