Over $4m worth of alcohol previously owned by Fernbrew Pty Ltd, part of the D’Aquino group, is now available to buy through an online auction process.

Fernbrew was placed into administration in February and the wholesale auction of the stock is being hosted by remarketing specialist, Pickles. The auction includes a large quantity and variety of craft beer, spirits, pre-mixed beverages, mixers, champagne, and more.

The Expression of Interest process opens today and Stewart Dodwell, Executive Manager of Pickles explained to TheShout how it works.

“To secure a chance of acquiring a great variety of top shelf alcohol from notable brands like Moet and Ballantine’s, all interested buyers must make their best offer from next Monday, 1 April till Friday, 12 April  through our Expression Of Interest form.

“Pickles will review these offers and will contact all successful applicants directly about their outcome. We understand that buyers might want to inspect the stock beforehand, and they are most welcome to do so by making an appointment with our friendly team at 0499 993 285.

“Both general public and trade audiences are welcome to purchase via the Expression of Interest form. However, based on past experience we expect the majority of sales to be secured by wholesalers, distributers, publicans, hoteliers and the like.”

There is a very large quantity and variety of alcohol available and the stock has been grouped into lots and can only be purchased in those quantities.

Dodwell added: “We have uploaded a preliminary listing of stock on our website that will allow consumers to check out what we have available ahead of the Expression of Interest stage.

“Pickles has not placed a minimum price on the lots, but we definitely encourage buyers to put their best foot forward to acquire their desired stock. There are significant savings up for grabs, and stock will be granted to the best offers at the conclusion of the Expression of Interest phase on 12 April. May the best bid win,” he told TheShout.
