Liquor Barons is WA’s premier independent retail liquor group.  A vibrant co-operative of over 80 stores, 60 store owners and hundreds of store staff, all dedicated to giving WA the very best customer centric liquor retailing experience.

 

The Role:

In this newly created, challenging and multi-faceted position you will be pivotal to the next phase of Liquor Barons continued growth. Reporting to the General Manager your key responsibilities will be:

  • Forming cohesive and strong working relationships with member stores;
  • Building and maintaining outstanding supplier relationships, working collaboratively to identify new growth opportunities;
  • Negotiating optimal commercial agreements with suppliers including trading terms and promotional deals;
  • End to end planning and management of consumer driven promotional programs;
  • Developing and communication of category business plans with a variety of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Liaison with internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the business objectives;
  • Analysis and review of category results to ensure they are in line with business plans.

About You:

  • Previous relevant category management experience within the FMCG sector;
  • An ability to work both autonomously as well as part of a small tightly knit team;
  • Demonstrated experience in direct supplier interactions;
  • Strong financial and analytical skills;
  • Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships;
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
