The 2024 NSW Sommelier’s Wine List Awards is now accepting entries. Run by the NSW Wine Industry Association along with major partner Destination NSW, the search is on for sommeliers and hospitality managers across Sydney and regional NSW who have a talent for creating interesting, diverse, and thoughtful lists with a focus on local NSW producers. The Awards accepts entries from restaurants, bars, pubs, hotels, and clubs whether they are a small intimate venue, casual eatery, hatted fine dinner or a hotel restaurant.
Now in its fifth year, the awards continue to shine a light on venues that are passionate about NSW, about local produce and which are committed to creating memorable hospitality experiences. Past winners have included everyone from Sydney dining institutions to intimate restaurants to regional gems hidden off the beaten track. The theme tying all past winners together however has been lists which can take the customer on a journey through local regions or varieties while including a few surprises along the way!
Entrants will be in the running to win one of six categories this year plus the coveted title of 2024 NSW Sommelier’s Wine List of the Year. Along with some great category prizes including visits to premium NSW wine regions and a bespoke package from RIEDEL, automatic entry into Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards and the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Young Sommeliers Competition is up for grabs.Entry is free and easy, just complete the online form on the NSW Wine website here.
