Retail Drinks Australia is preparing to host its 2019 Industry Awards in just three weeks. The gala dinner will be held on Tuesday 29 October following the 2019 Liquor Retail Summit at the Hyatt Regency in Sydney.

These are the inaugural Industry Awards and Retail Drinks will be offering a range of unique and exciting prizes to the winners.

Retail Drinks CEO Julie Ryan said: “The Retail Drinks Industry Awards are the peak national awards for Australia’s retail liquor industry, saluting the year-round efforts made by people and companies in our industry to succeed in business, through superior customer service, product knowledge and outstanding professionalism.

“The quality of the entries to this year’s Awards was truly outstanding with over 450 individual nominations received across all Award categories.”

The awards cover Retail and Excellence Awards with categories ranging from Liquor Store of the Year to Supplier of the Year and Sales Representative of the Year to Liquor Store Owner of the Year.

The night will also see Flagship Awards presented, which includes Young Liquor Retailer of the Year. This Award aims “to recognise and reward outstanding future retail liquor industry leaders and promote the diversity of viable career opportunities available in the industry”.

Some of the prizes on offer this year include:

  • the ‘Ultimate Liquor Retailer’s Hamper’, consisting of a selection of ‘products of excellence’, showcasing the best of Retail Drinks’ corporate and associate members’ portfolios, valued at over $5,000;
  • Six delegate registration tickets to Online Retailer Conference & Expo 2020. The Online Retailer Conference is the leading e-commerce event with two days jam-packed with cutting-edge ecommerce insights, the latest trends, tech innovation and retail solutions. Valued at $9,000 and incorporating two exclusive invitations to Online Retailers’ Leaders’ Summit Breakfast; and
  • A Bali Escape – Two nights at the Grand Hyatt Bali; the crown jewel of resorts in Nusa Dua, plus two nights at Hyatt Regency Bali; a tranquil beachfront resort set on nine hectares of lush tropical gardens overlooking the Indian Ocean – total package of four nights, including breakfast daily, transfers, return economy airfares for two people (conditions apply and flight bookings must be made by Retail Drinks).

The winners of the Young Liquor Retailer of the Year Award will also be invited to sit as an ‘Observer’ on the Retail Drinks Australia Board for the following year.

This experience includes all expenses-paid attendance at scheduled Board Meetings and key industry events throughout the year and is valued at over $10,000 – a truly unique opportunity for any aspiring industry leader.
