Never Never Distilling Co is looking to double the size of its full-time staff with more than 10 roles in the business with brand, marketing, events, production and finance positions to be filled in the coming months.

With the Asahi investment well and truly in place, Never Never Brand Director and Co-Founder Sean Baxter said he is excited to build the right team to implement growth strategies and grow volume across the country.

“We’ve always been a brand with grand ambitions,” says Sean, “to be investing so heavily in the future of our business is an incredibly exciting exercise,” he said.

“We’re getting to do things we only ever dreamed were possible 12 months ago.”

Never Never is building a nationwide advocacy team with Brand Ambassadors based in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

“This team will complement our National ambassador Shay Chamberlain,” Baxter said.

In addition to the brand team Never Never is recuriting an Events and Partnership Manager to ensure consistency in the brand presence at art festivals, major sporting events, spirit expos and product launches.

There is also a Graphic Design and Content Creator role available with the candidate required to steer the creative direction of the brand over the long-term and also guide the business through a major label redevelopment.

“Up until now a lot of these positions were either being done within the current team or we were outsourcing to contractors,” said Baxter. “Our team was very proficient at getting the job done despite being under-resourced. We now get the chance to build out our team the way we have always envisioned.”

The senior management team will be extended, with a Head of Marketing, a Head of Sales role and also a Finance Manager, with Baxter emphasisngthat all positions are open to being located Australia wide.

“For us finding the right candidates in these positions is critical to the future success of the business,” he said. “They will be largely responsible for the way we communicate, promote and expand our portfolio over the next decade.

“For that reason we are casting the net wide, and are flexible about the location of these senior positions. It is very much about finding the best person for the job as opposed to limiting ourselves locally when those roles will be incredibly active interstate anyway.

“It makes sense to give the business the best opportunity to succeed.”

The push to increase volume nationwide also requires an expanded production team with an Operations Manager and Production Distiller set to join the team in the coming months as well.

Many of these roles are currently advertised on the Seek website via the Never Never website, with interviews for the majority of the roles to commence over the coming weeks.
