The NLG Hotel Group has secured the number one position on the NSW Top 200 gaming rankings for the September quarter.
The Top 200, put together independently every quarter by the NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing (OLGR), ranks venues based on net revenues from gaming.
The NLG Hotel Group has three venues in the top 10 with the El Cortez Hotel in Canley Heights taking out the number one position, the recently renovated Eastwood Hotel securing the number two position for the second consecutive quarter, and the Cabramatta Club Hotel taking out the number 10 position.
The Eastwood Hotel was recently awarded Highly Commended for the 2010 Gaming Award at the Australian Liquor Industry Awards (ALIA).
In his general manager’s address at NLG’s recent AGM, Dan Brady committed the pub group to remaining one of the industry leaders in gaming operations in the country.
“The corner stone for performance in this area comes from operating our gaming machines with the highest of integrity,” he said. “This means ensuring our highly motivated staff are proud of the industry they work in and the service standards they deliver.”
In line with the above, a priority for NLG over the coming period is an intention to add to player comfort features in its gaming rooms and exceeding the standards reached by the industry.
“A key challenge for NLG in the gaming space is to find reliable proven product (Electronic Gaming Machines) from gaming manufacturers that can satisfy the company’s capital return on investment rates,” he said.
