Nominations are currently open for Australian breweries to nominate their beers to be part of the GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beer people’s choice poll.
The poll has been running since 2008 and enables Australian craft beer enthusiasts to have their say on the best and most popular craft beers this country produces. All craft beers that have been sold in 2023 are eligible for the poll, and nominations are free via the GABS Trade Hub.
Brewers are urged to get nominations in now, before voting opens on 1 December, to help garner as many votes from fans as possible and from day one.
Organisers said: “From 1 December, beer drinkers across the country will be asked to select, in order of preference, their five favourite craft beers of the year and as is the annual trend, they make their voices heard loud and clear.
“On average around 30 per cent of the list rotates each year which is testament to the emergence of exciting brews and overall growth in craft consumption.”
The GABS Hottest 100 provides a great opportunity for breweries to put their range in front of thousands of potential new fans. All voters will qualify for the draw to win a share of prizes valued at $10,000.
In addition to the main Hottest 100 list, GABS also releases the Hottest Indie Beers, Hottest New Beers, and Hottest Next Beers (101-200).
Brew pubs can also register their venue as an official countdown host venue, when the full list is revealed on 27 January 2024.
