Following a review of its global operations Pernod Ricard has confirmed that its key international wine properties will be grouped and managed under one business, Premium Wine Brands, which will be headquartered in Sydney.
Premium Wine Brands will bring the group’s international wine businesses and key wine brands, including Jacob’s Creek, Brancott Estate (formerly Montana), Campo Viejo and Graffigna under one umbrella alongside key brands; Stoneleigh, Wyndham Estate and Etchart.
Premium Wine Brands will be responsible for the global brand and portfolio strategies, as well as technical coordination, including production, viticulture and supply chain.
“By bringing together our leading global wine brands we have created an enviable international wine portfolio,” said Premium Wine Brands chairman and chief executive, Jean-Christophe Coutures.
“The creation of Premium Wine Brands not only allows us to offer a world class range of well-known brands but also share best practice learnings that allows us to play to our strengths, whilst exploring and developing new opportunities.
“We now have a complementary portfolio of premium wine brands representing the signature varieties for each country – Australian Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, Malbec from Argentina and Tempranillo from Spain delivered through our leading brands, Jacob’s Creek, Brancott Estate, Graffigna and Campo Viejo.”
