Perth's Universal Bar has invited the city's best bartenders to showcase their skills in an upcoming Chartreuse cocktail competition.
The competition, Parlez vous Chartreuse Número 2, returns to Universal Bar following the success of the first such contest held there in February 2012.
There are 15 spots available in the competition. Those bartenders that take up the challenge will be give five minutes to make two identical cocktails that must contain at least 30ml of either Chartreuse Yellow or Chartreuse Green.
Apart from the quality and taste of their drinks, competitors will also be judged on their technical skills, the 'Frenchness' of their presentation and also on how entertaining they are.
Hosted by James Connolly, the competition will be held at 7pm on August 12. In addition, Suntory Australia brand ambassador Justine Millsom will conducting a Chartreuse masterclass for the trade at 530pm.
