Local wineries and spirit manufacturers have two weeks left to book their stand at the world’s largest wine and spirit trade fair, ProWein 2011 in Germany.
Securing a position puts local wine producers alongside 3400 other exhibitors from 50 countries including Constellation Wines, Peter Lehmann, Brown Brothers, Fosters, Lion Nathan and Wine Australia.
ProWein 2010 set visitor and exhibitor attendance records with over 3,300 exhibitors and 36,000 trade visitors according to conference organiser, Messe Dusseldorf. Bookings must be made by July 31.
“No other trade fair offers the wine and spirit sectors such an international and professional environment. The good results this year have shown that it is as important as ever to actively make contacts and keep fully abreast of developments on the existing global market especially in tough times for retail and catering. ProWein offers the best prerequisites for this,” said Messe Dusseldorf managing director, Wilhelm Niedergöker.
At this year’s event, Wine Australia hosted a stand promoting the various Australian wine regions with 13 companies participating in the stand.
“We are delighted to take part in ProWein 2010, as the fair provides an excellent opportunity to engage with European distributors, retailers and wine media,” said Wine Australia director for UK, Ireland and Europe, Lisa McGovern.
The next ProWein will be held in Düsseldorf from 27 to 29 March 2011.
“We are very happy to have a strong participation at ProWein and the Australian winegrowers use this opportunity to meet with international retailers and international buyers. We hope that next year Australian winegrowers will come and join the ProWein community,” said ProWein Exhibition Director, Danila Avdiu.
