ProWine, the Asian version of the world’s largest wine and spirits fair – ProWein, has announced it will launch its first Hong Kong fair in 2017.
Since 2013, ProWine holds an annual fair in Shanghai – ProWine China, and earlier this year ProWine Asia was launched in Singapore.
ProWine Asia will now launch in Hong Kong in 2017, and will then alternate between Singapore on a bi-annual basis.
The first edition of ProWine Asia in Hong Kong runs from 8 to 11 May 2017 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. In the following year ProWine Asia will then be held again in Singapore from 24 to 27 April 2018.
ProWine Asia in Hong Kong will be held alongside the HOFEX fair which attracted 38,000 trade visitors from the food and catering industry when the show was last held in May 2015.
The Hong Kong event will not only target visitors from the Chinese market, but also from other Asian markets including Macao, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.
ProWine China 2016 will be held from 7 to 9 November in Shanghai and global participation has been confirmed from Austria, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Georgia, Australia, United States of America, South Africa, Argentina, Chile, France, Italy, Sweden, Macedonia, Romania, Canada, Finland, Russia and China. ProWine China attracted 600 wine and spirits manufacturers from 33 countries and Wine Australia is once again expected to have a strong presence at this year’s event.
