A former chief financial officer of Australian Leisure & Hospitality Group (ALH) has been appointed chief executive officer of Redcape Property Fund.
Redcape chairman Trevor O'Hoy announced that John Russell, who managed the creation of the ALH and ALE Property Group entities, would be Redcape's CEO.
"John brings first-class operational and strategic hotel experience to his role with the Redcape Property Group," O'Hoy said.
"He has extensive senior management experience across domestic and international transactions for a range of leading organisations, and has led a number of companies through significant change to deliver exceptional results," he said.
In his most recent executive role, Russell was the managing director and CEO of Customers Limited, Australia's largest owner and operator of automatic teller machines.
His previous roles have included general manager of strategy and operations at AWB Limited, group general manager of operations at Tabcorp and chief operating officer at Ausdoc Information Management.
"John's appointment completes the formation of the executive leadership team and will help Redcape achieve the board's strategic objectives for its portfolio of outstanding freehold and leasehold pub assets," O'Hoy said.
