With autumn on the horizon, Rekorderlig, Sweden’s favourite premium cider, gets set for further growth and innovation in the Australian cider category. Rekorderlig Cider has significantly contributed to the market growth across Europe and is now growing from strength-to-strength throughout the country in all four available flavours: Apple, Pear, Strawberry & Lime and the newly launched Rekorderlig Wild Berries Cider.
Made from the purest spring water that runs directly under the fourth generation, family brewery in Vimmerby, Sweden, the semi-sweet styled ciders have an alcohol content of 4.0% – 4.5% ABV and are deliciously light, refreshing and easy to drink. Available in 500ml glass bottles, all four flavours are ideal served over ice, with an option to enjoy straight, with a wedge of lemon or lime – or for extra indulgence, fresh mint leaves (Strawberry & Lime); or fresh blueberries & raspberries (Wild Berries).
Patrick Ale, Managing Director of Red Island Marketing, who import Rekorderlig into Australia said; ‘Rekorderlig Ciders are like biting into the season’s freshest fruits. Coupled with the huge success of the Apple, Pear and Strawberry & Lime, among both males and females aged 22 – 35, Rekorderlig Wild Berries Cider is sure proving to be the Australian cider market’s next big thing.’ With a nose of juicy wild country berries and a pear cider base, the new Wild Berries cider is bursting with tantalizing, summery flavours to enjoy all year round.
The Rekorderlig innovation team has worked closely with the on-trade to develop ultra-premium glassware to the Australian market. The stylishly frosted, high-ball glasses hold a full 500ml bottle, providing the perfect serve for the consumer – chilled and half-filled with ice, crushed or cubed, before pouring in Rekorderlig Cider
The premium imported cider is superior in quality and exceptional in taste. The Swedish name ‘Rekorderlig’ in English means ‘Reliable, Trustworthy and Down to Earth’. Mr. Ale further states ‘Cider has recently been the fastest growing liquor category in Australia. We look forward to reinforcing Rekorderlig’s position as the benchmark in premium European Cider brands.’
